Our Facilities
We are very fortunate to have extensive
grounds in a secluded location.
Our school was officially opened on 2nd July, 1954, over 70 years ago and has generous accommodation consisting of 12 classrooms (each having access to an outside area), a spacious hall, a library, two large playgrounds (one of which includes a modern adventure playground), and several small rooms and teaching spaces for small group work and interventions.
We also have a wonderful resource which is unique to our school; this is an old orchard with a bog garden and wild flower meadow which is a haven for nature and in addition has a large playing field.
Our Reception base provides quality areas and resources for different aspects of the curriculum. Reception has its own outside space which includes a playground for physical play, areas for art and exploration, a vegetable garden, covered role play and a grassed playground.
We are also very lucky to have a much loved library area where children can spend time reading or listening to stories.
In September 2017, we were very fortunate to open our own Nursery facilities on site, Starfish Nursery; we have a large 3/4 year old room and a separate 2 year old room. For further details please contact the school office.
We have a Community Room with its own self-contained kitchen, washrooms and office. This room serves as an ideal location for our extended school provision which includes the Before and After School Club and Outreach Children’s Centre provision.
Our school hall and catering kitchen makes an ideal venue for parties and we also offer a special discount on Saturday bookings for any parents of children attending our school. Our lovely orchard is also available to hire giving more room for outdoor parties in the summer months.
